Pokes head around door looking sheepish...

... so it's been a while. I have still been reading my friends entries but I haven't posted since July of last year. Being bone idle and having the attention span of a gnat I've basically just migrated to Twitter. I've decided to make an effort after a friend reminded me about this blog so I'm going to try to post at least weekly and see how I get on.

Unfortunately I have pretty much nothing to say for myself today (pause for gasps of shock).

Ooh except a question - do I want to go for a taster session on an indoor climbing wall?

In my efforts to be all healthy over the past few months I've been going to the gym 3 or 4 mornings a week before work. I only do half an hour on the cross-trainer because that's all I'm prepared to make time for at that hour in the morning and because it's the only thing in the gym that doesn't bore me stupid. This is good for my heart but I'm not doing any resistance work and ideally I should build some muscle - except I can't be doing with all those machines or classes at the gym, it's deadly dull and life's too short.

Anyway so I thought maybe climbing might be less dull on account of their actually being a point (getting to the top and stuff). They do taster sessions for £10 at the place in Bristol so I thought I might pop along. Trouble is if I do like it it's an expensive hobby and it's in a part of town that's a proper faff to get to so part of me thinks it's not worth bothering with as I'm so unlikely to keep it up even if I do enjoy it.

It's what all the cool kids are doing

How often is usual to get electric shocks?

Thus far in my life I've had them very rarely but for the past couple of weeks I've been getting between 3 and 9 a day. It's odd - and irritating of course.

If anyone can provide a clever explanation that avoids all the standard old jokes I'll be much impressed
